Dance - Fight - Game.

Capoeira is commonly described as an Afro-Brazilian Art form which combines elements of music, dance, martial arts, acrobatics, street theatre, crafts, folklore and practical philosophy. Simply, Capoeira can be referred to as a Dance - Fight - Game. It is the single most crossover, holistic art form in the world and one of the few physical arts which is gender neutral. As a folk art it is for everybody who wants to learn and offers its practitioners an alternative way to perceive and engage with themselves and their environment through a process of embodiment and decolonisation of mind. For example instead of promoting competition between practitioners where there are winners and losers, Capoeira can create an inclusive environment encouraging cooperation and a detachment from outcome. Its practice can be a powerful tool for self development and social inclusion. Besides the incredible benefits of its physical practice it engages and educates through its rich, diverse culture and history.
